Noin took the binoculars from Solo and checked out her target. Noin let a sigh slip past her lips as she continue to check out the base, "So they have you watching me. Make sure I am trust worthy huh?" Noin had figured it out easily as she checked out her target.
"That and back up. From the looks you're going to need it." He reached in the seat behind him, pulling out the sniper riffle and leveling it out and starting to take aim.
"Once I take out the ones at the gate, getting in will be easy....getting out is another story for another time..."
"Getting out will be the fun part," Noin smiled and put down the binoculars, "Just get us in and I will take care of the rest." Noin smile turned into a grin as she watched him get ready to take out the gaurds.
Two shots and they were gone. He threw the gun back into the back seat and drove down the hill through the gates, parked out back and jumped out ready to follow Noin in.
Noin was out of the jeep before Solo had even stopped it. Alarm had been set off but Noin ignored at that. She needed to get the information of the next attack so the gundam pilots and others had missions to go on. Noin led Solo down corridors letting him take out the gaurds that they ran across.
His aim was disgustingly accurate, almost as though he'd been shooting a gun his whole life. He ran behind her, covering her back as she tried to break in.
Noin kicked in the door that she needed to pass. She took out the two gaurds before sitting down in a chair and pulling up to the computer. She trusted SOlo to cover her back as she put in a disk in the computer and quickly found the files she needed and started to download.
He could hear the men running down the hall and he would be damned if they even thought about shooting her. When the first group hit the door, he took position, unfaultered and took aim, killing them. He emptied the clip and reloaded in time for the next group to try and get past.
He could do this all day, he had more then enough amunition.
It took a few minutes but Noin had spead the dowload up with a few tricks she had learn during her training. She heard Solo shoot down gaurds but didn't turn to see. Then the disk popped out Noin grinned and grabbed it, "Got it! And we have about 2 minutes to get out of here before it blows. Shall we?" Noin turned and smiled at SOlo.
Solo took off his sunglasses, wipping the blood off them. Bodies were scattered everywhere on the floor and in the hall, one very close to the chair she'd been sitting in. He smiled back and nodded towards the door.
Noin couldn't help but smile and took off running into the chaos that was happening outside now. They didn't have to worry about gaurds trying to kill them since everyone was more worried about getting out of the building.
Solo slammed through the door and saw the jeep where he had left it. No one seemed to be in the area and he held the door long enough for Noin to get out first. He didn't like this set up. A foreign car and no one there waiting for them....
He shook it off and followed her to the jeep.
Noin got into the jeep with a smile on her face and disk in her hand. She waited for Solo to get them out of there.
Solo hoped in and went to turn the key stopping as it began to turn over. His face grew stern behind the sunglasses.
"Get out of the jeep...." She seemed confused, but he yelled it. "GET OUT NOW!" He practically shoved her, hitting the gas and moving a few feet before the car exploded. He jumped from it but the flames covered his escape.
Noin had only open the door when Solo shoved her out of the door and took over. She rolled a few feet and that is when the jeep exploded. Noin's heart felt like it broke into a million of peices as she watched the jeep burst. She quickly got off the ground though she hurt her knee rather badly, "SOLO! SOLO!?" Noin limped over the mess as the building exploded. She dove down behind the blazing jeep and sovered her head.
Solo rolled over onto his back, half in a daze. He tried to sit up, but yell out in the pain in his shoulder. Dislocated....fuck. He was shaking, not from being scared or cold. He looked at his chest, sticking to his chest with blood. He'd been burned. How seriously was yet to be determained. He brought his head back down, the world upside down. But right near him was Noin, alive.
"...NOIN!" He yelled closing his eyes, as loud as he could over the explosions.
Noin groaned and lefted her head when she heard her name being called. She looked around a spotted Solo laying on his back, "Solo!" Noin crawled over to him and touched his cheek, "Solo! Are you alright?" She then saw his chest and gasp, "Oh god..."
"Pop...pop my shoulder back in so we can get out of here...." He touched her face back and kept his calm.
Noin nodded and got onto her knees. In a few minutes Solo's shoulder was back in place and Noin was rather creeped out. "Can you stand?"
He nodded and got up nodding and getting to his feet. There would be plenty of time to inspect the damage to his chest at the base. He held out his hand to help her up.
Noin got up with the help of Solo and wrapped an arm around his shoulder to help him walk along with to help her, "So how are we going to get to the base now?"
Reaching into his pocket, he pulled out his phone, more then happy that it was still working. Pressing a few numbers on it. Looking up a chopper hovered over head and he smirked at her. "Will thi do?"
Noin smiled a little and nodded, "If it gets us back to the base quick then it is perfect. How are you holding up?"
Solo only nodded and helped her into the helicopter. He climbed in after and sat down, heading back to the base. The trip seemed shorter by air.
Solo was rushed away from Noin as soon at the hospital touched down at the base. Noin wanted to follow but the on docotr sight said they did not need an extra body in the medical wing plus Noin only had scratches on her.
It was about a half hour later before the reached Noin again. She was told that he had been moved down to his room after being treated. His body has sustained second degree burns all up his chest, but they been taken care of. Now he only needed rest.
Noin knocked softly on Solo's door before opening it to see him laying on his bed. Noin had a bandage over her left eye and she walked with a limp since she had sprain her ankle during the fall from the jeep, "Hey you. How are you?"
He walked himself back to the room, refusing to stay in the hospital wing. He was sitting up and half under the covers, chest wrapped tightly. He smiled at her and waved her over, not really feeling the umph to move.
Noin made her way over limping ever so slightly. She sat down beside his legs making sure not to touch them. She checked out his bandages, the doctor in her mind making a few remarks which she didn't say out loud. She instead smiled at him and said, "I have seen you worse shape. How do you feel?"
"Second degree burns down the chest and legs....itches and stings like a bitch...but other then that I'm fine. I'm sorry I tossed you about..." He sat up slowly, placing his hands in his lap. "Lay down...God knows we need it..." He twindged at the pain in his shoulder. That would be tender for a while.
Noin reached over and took his hands in hers, "It is alright. You probable saved my life Solo. I.... I was scared when the jeep exploded...." Noin bit her bottom lip looking down at their hands.
He squeezed hers and tilted her chin up. "Gonna take more then that to get rid of me...." He smiled and kissed her hand. He leaned back and sighed, keeping hold of her. "Duo's gonna freak...I know that much...he might have to watch Gracia for a day or two..."
"So he hasn't been in here to yell at you yet? Should be interesting." Noin smiled and laid down beside Solo being very careful not to touch his bandages, "But don't worry I will be here to pick up the tiny pieces he will probable shred you into."
"Comforting...really..." He laughed and petted her head. He was happy she was all right. He would have been lost if anything were to happen to her.
"I love you...."
Noin stayed silent as those three little words went over and over and over in her head. He had said them meaing he felt that way. Did she? Of course she did. She had been so scared that he had died, that thought made her heart hurt and that is when she knew she loved him.
"I love you too Solo."
He said a little thank you to the big guy upstairs. Not that he thought she would send him on his ass, but this only proved to him more that the feelings they shared were mutual. He wanted to hug her tightly and repeat it over and over. Solo wanted nothing more then to get on one knee right now and ask her to marry him. But he had done that before, and she had not answered.
Give it time.... he thought.
