Duo came bouncing into his and Heero's room with little Gracia in his arms. He had a huge grin on his face as he made funny faces and cut noises at his niece as he sat down beside Heero, "Hey Heero, haev you met my niece?"
Not appearing to take his eyes off the screen, Heero kept typing and clicking as he felt the weight shift on his bed. Duo was sitting next to him now.. "No."
"Well put the lap top away before I throw that one at the door and meet her. Her name is Gracia Maxwell and she is my niece!" Duo grinned and held out Gracia proudly to his partner.
"Hn." Setting aside the machine, Heero turned to face Duo following the others order.
"Yay! You listen," Duo held up Gracia supporting her head witha grin on his face, "This is Gracia! I call her Angel since she didn't have a name when I took her from Relena."
At the mention of the younger Peacecraft's name, Heero's gaze darkened and his eyes left duo's face to stare down at the little girl silently watching her.
Duo saw the change on Heero's face when he spoke Relena's name, "She wasn't even there or she would be dead rigth now.... wanna hold Angel?"
That sentence was ironic but Heero's hands stayed still. They didn't move to accept the offer at all. He remained quiet and it was almost like he was lost in thoguht.
"Heero? Heeeeeeeeero," Duo poked him in the arm still holding his niece.
His head moved to glare fiercly at the offending finger before he raised it to meet the braided boys gaze.
"Are you going to hold Angel?" Duo wasn't even effect by his glare as he looked at his partner.
Heero met the other boys gaze firmly. "I do not know how to hold..her."
"Well then I will teach you. Put your arms like mine. You need to support her head so be careful with that." Duo grinned at Heero waiting for him to follow his instructions.
Stiffly, Heero mimicked the others position keeping still and doing only as he was told.
"Relax Hee-chan," Duo grinned at Heero and gently placed Gracia in his arms making sure the other boy was supporting her head.
Heero raised an eye at the odd nickname Duo seemed to have just given him but then his gaze moved down to the child in his arms. It was odd to hold such a fragile thing. His body was stiff and tense as he sat there.
